Indoor Air Quality has become one of today’s leading health issues, especially for public facilities, educational facilities and manufactures. The current publicity with sick building syndromes and their effects have prompted some of these concerns. The aging of our public, commercial and educational infrastructure and advances in science also play a role in this awareness. Each generation of buildings is constructed of better materials and more advanced technology; however, the older the buildings become, the more problems they have keeping up with changes in health and environmental quality. Because we can identify substances that produce illnesses and health concerns employees, students, and the general public have become more aware of their indoor environment.
ECMS works with municipalities, proactive school districts, public facilities and management companies (who own large inventory of facilities), to investigate and explore potentially hazardous indoor environmental conditions and to plan for better routine maintenance and upgrading of mechanical systems. Our technical project staff can provide an integrated program of sampling, testing and regulatory support services to suit our clients’ needs.
